On Aug. 28, a student witnessed a Hummer strike another vehicle in the Living Center South parking lot, causing the mirror to get knocked off. To date, the victim has still not filed a report. This incident is still under investigation.
At 4:43 a.m. on Sept. 5, University Police were dispatched to Merry Jo Brandimore House for a fire alarm. When the officers arrived, they located the problem and found that a fire extinguisher had been used in the common area of the dorm. There was no one home at this time. The officer located two students, who advised that they were cooking noodles that had caught fire and they used the extinguisher to put it out. The situation is still under investigation.
At 6:30 p.m. Sept. 5, a 22-year-old female student reported that she parked her bike outside of Living Center South, went inside to get a lock, and when she returned 40 minutes later, the bike was gone.
