Threat
At 7:05 a.m. Feb. 9, a 21-year-old student employee received a text that her co-workers had hired an assassin to kill her. It was determined that the text was sent from a “burner” phone and that the message has been floating around the Internet for several years. This incident has been closed.
At 5:27 p.m. Feb. 9, a 24-year-old male student reported that he put a vehicle up for sale on Craigslist and gave an inquirer his cell phone number. Then, he began receiving sexually explicit messages. Contact was made with the buyer, and he was told to stop any contact with the seller.
Criminal Sexual Conduct
At 12 a.m. Feb. 11, a 21-year-old male student reported that while leaving a party in Campus Village, he was approached by another male who began touching him inappropriately. When told to stop, the subject continued. The victim was able to leave, and no further contact was made.
