Janis taken in seventh round of NFL draft; Jennings, Conrad invited to mini-camps
Former Cardinal Jeff Janis is proof that some dreams do come true.
Janis was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL draft. He was the first Cardinals’ player to be drafted since 2005, when Todd Herremans was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round.
The SVSU alum turned heads at the NFL scouting combine when he ran a 4.42 40. Over his career, Janis accumulated 189 receptions for over 3,000 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns.
In addition to Janis, two other Cardinals are on their way to the NFL.
