Marijuana At 11:27 p.m. Aug. 22, officers were called to Living Center South to meet with Residential Life Staff regarding the smell of marijuana. Upon entering, there was a faint odor of marijuana and a strong odor of air freshener. The suspect was not present at the time, so the situation was turned over to Student Conduct Programs for review.
At 10:17 p.m. Sept. 12, University Police officers were called to University Village regarding the odor of marijuana. They were let into the apartment by the residents and tracked the odor to an 18-year-old female student’s room. She admitted to having some marijuana in a dresser but had a medical card. The marijuana was confiscated since it is not allowed on campus. The situation was turned over to Student Conduct Programs for resolution.
Injury At 4:10 p.m. Sept. 13, a 20-year-old male student was walking to his car in J-Lot when he was struck by a vehicle leaving the lot. He was knocked over and his foot was ran over. The driver did stop, and the struck student did not suffer any major injuries.
At 1:23 p.m. Sept. 15, an 18-year-old male broke his ankle while playing rugby at the intramural fields.
Aggravated Assault On Sept. 17, a 24-year-old male student and a 21-year old female student reported an incident that happened on Aug. 25. They said they observed a gray car sitting on the side of Pierce Road. They went on their way and were laughing about how strange it was for a car to be sitting there. A black male approached them and asked them what was so funny. He pushed the female and assaulted the male when he tried to intervene and drove away.
Suspicious Person At 2 a.m. Sept. 17, an 18-year old female student reported that she was being followed in J-3 Lot by a man unkown to her. She said that the suspicious person ran at her and that she was able to escape into MJ Brandimore House safely.
